What we collect

• Contact requests: name, company (optional), email and the project details you enter in the chat on the Contact page (project type, stage, description, timeline, budget).
• Browsing data: technical server logs (IP address, date and time, requested page) generated by the hosting provider for security and to run the site.
• Statistics: only if you accept analytics cookies, aggregated visit data collected with Google Analytics 4. Details in the cookie policy.

Purposes and legal basis

• Replying to your request and preparing the first call: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Security and operation of the site: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Usage statistics: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Recipients

Data is processed by providers acting as data processors:

• Vercel Inc. – website hosting;
• Resend – delivery of the email with your request;
• Google Ireland Ltd. – Google Analytics, only with your consent.

Some providers are based in the United States: transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell or share your data with third parties.

Retention

Contact requests are kept for as long as needed to handle them and no longer than 24 months, unless a contract follows. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your data and to object to its processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR) by writing to hello@thecodingcat.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
